LORD COCHRANE

SEAMAN - RADICAL - LIBERATOR

A Life of Thomas, Lord Cochrane,
Tenth Earl of Dundonald

Rebel Admiral by Frank Knight; another biography of Lord Cochrane. The Napoleonic wars produced a group of the most brilliant young naval officers in England’s history. Even in such company, Tom Cochrane proved himself outstanding. Although his exploits as a frigate captain quickly became legendary, he was thwarted at every turn both in his naval service and in Parliament. In his disgust, he gave his services to the feeing a number of South American countries from the Spanish.
