W. H. G. Kingston: THE THREE LIEUTENANTS; These images show the decorative binding on the spine and front board. An attractive book although the page block is just started to loosen a little toward the front of the book. Remove cursor to revert to image of book's spine.  

A VERY GOOD minus condition red cloth bound book. Spine and front board with white titling and black decoration. Coloured onlays to spine and front board panels.Wear to spine ends and some darkening to top and bottom edges. Page block is just a little loose. Pages generally clean and bright, a little foxing - no inscriptions.

Dust jacket has loss, chipped, rubbed and torn but has done a great job of protecting the book. Although not shown in these images it is now in a protective sleeve.

I do not charge for packaging.
My stated postage prices are an estimate.
If you are interested in a book on my site I will package it and weigh it and quote the true postage cost if less than estimated, or stand by my estimate if it is more.
Estimated postage costs are usually based on Royal Mail First class prices for UK on items valued at less than £41 but extra costs may be involved with more expensive items. Outside the UK postage costs are for basic Royal Mail Airmail.
Any preferences concerning postage/delivery by the purchaser will always be considered.

My returns policies

If you wish to return a book please let me know as soon as possible but no later than three days after receipt. 
If you feel, and I agree after we have discussed it, that my description was misleading or inaccurate then, upon the receipt of the book in the condition you received it, I will then refund all your payment plus your return postage. 
If the book isn't what you really wanted and if we agree, then, upon my receipt of the book in the condition you received it, I will then refund your bid price. I have found, so far, that the majority of my buyers are genuine. For my part I try and describe the books as fairly as possible - I am not a professional - and do not like buyers to feel dissatisfied.  I am happy to pack together multiple buys made within a seven day period and post at cost as long as total value of purchases in the packet does not exceed the Royal Mail's built in compensation, which at the moment is £46.00.

THE ROMANCE OF THE KING'S NAVY by Edward Fraser 1913. From incidents during the Crimean War to just prior to the Great War. One chapter tells the thrilling story of " How the Navy's V.C.s have been Won," the deeds of the various heroes being brought together for the first time in one connected narrative.
The Log of the Flying Fish: A Story of Aerial and Submarine Peril and Adventure by Harry Collingwood. Illustrated in b&w by Gordon Browne Published before 1910 by Blackie and Son, London. This book was one of the first science fiction genre to be published and has since been reprinted as an eBook and a paperback. This particular copy is probably only in GOOD condition.
The Meteor Flag of England: THE STORY OF A COMING CONFLICT by W. GORDON-STABLES, M.D., C.M. (SURGEON, ROYAL NAVY) Published circa 1908 by James Nisbet & Co. Ltd., London.Written in the 1900s set in 1980's! Has submarines, 300 knot ram-battleships - still using coal, the Russians invading Scotland, The Kaiser a prisoner in Edinburgh Castle, the German Navy trying to annihilate the Royal Navy in the North Sea and the French Navy , similarly employed, in Mediterranean !
